Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. sheet metalworking) an asset
Strong knowledge of sheet metalworking processes, including cutting, bending, shaping, and welding
Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and specifications
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to lift 50 pounds or more; must be physically fit for frequent bending, lifting, and standing
Strong communication skills; ability to work effectively with others in a fast-paced environment
A valid driver's license is an asset
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal and Duct Work Fabricator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal ductwork and other metal components for various projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sheet metalworking, with experience in fabrication, cutting, and welding techniques. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal ductwork, including spirals, elbows, tees, and other fittings
Cut, bend, and shape sheet metal to specified dimensions using various tools and equipment (e.g. saws, shears, brakes)
Measure and verify the accuracy of fabricated parts using precision instruments (e.g. calipers, micrometers)
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and company standards
